Expensive Dog Fifty Thousand Dollars Worth

An economist leaving his office building and saw a little boy sitting on the sidewalk with a dog. The boy shouted to the economist, "Hey, do you want to buy a dog."

He was interested in how sales approach him and ask, "How much do you want for your dog?"

The boy told him, "Fifty thousand dollars."

"Fifty thousand dollars!??" people were amazed. "What special tricks owned this dog so the price to be worth fifty thousand dollars?" the man asked.

The boy replied, "Sir, this dog never made money in his life. In fact, by calculating what he eats I guess you could say you will lose money for him every year."

Economists feel this is a good time to explain economics to the youth and outlines of how things should generate more revenue than what is consumed for the same final price, and with the dog he probably could get five dollars from someone who wanted to keep the dog. Feeling he has provided valuable lessons for the young man, economists continue his journey.

A few weeks later, the economist out of his office building and a child sitting on a curb without a dog. The man said to him, "I see you took my advice and sell the dog for five dollars."

The boy said, "No, I got fifty thousand dollars for it."

Business people are really taken aback. "How did you get fifty thousand dollars for the dog ??!!" he asked.

"That's easy," said the boy. "I trade it with two cats for twenty-five thousand dollars."
